The most famous local attraction is a cluster of old dwarf houses. The eldest of these were built during the rich herring fisheries from 1590 until 1670, and today most of them have been turned into tourist facilities comprising art exhibitions, museums, pubs, bars and restaurants.

The Råkvåg marina is a popular destination for leisure boat tourists.

The Fisherman’s home guesthouse has a gallery view to the harbor located five minutes walk away, while at the same time it can offer a more withdrawn and quiet atmosphere at night than in the more crowded harbor area.
